Our Origin
May 2025
Cotidien began with Sophia, a Boston-born designer who found her way back to creativity through sewing during the quiet days of the pandemic. What started as a pastime soon became an expression of femininity and self. From the very beginning, Cotidien has grown through community—each design shaped by the input, stories, and imaginations of those who share our appreciation for detail and craft.
Cotidien revives what fast fashion has forgotten: pintucks sewn with intention, delicate lace trims, the patience of a well-made seam. Our collections celebrate femininity, heirloom traditions, and the rhythm of the seasons through vintage-inspired designs and prose.
Launched in 2025, Cotidien aspires to evolve as a digital atelier built on care, creativity, and connection. Each collection a small reverie, an open door into our dream.
Our Craft
Every Cotidien piece, dreamt up by creatives, is brought to life by skilled patternmakers and artisans. Each garment is proudly produced in the United States, either in the NYC Garment District or the atelier in Northern Virginia.
The process is intentionally slow, and each production batch is small. Fabrics are cut and finished with attention to durability and ease of wear. Natural and low-synthetic fibers such as cotton, linen, silk are chosen for their breathability, durability, and gentleness on both the skin and environment. Every decision, from pattern drafting to fabric sourcing, is made with a sense of purpose and intimacy, reflecting our belief that the best-made clothing should move with us through romance, adventure, and the test of time.
